Troy Haley joined the Marines at 19 and served as an embassy Marine at two U.S. embassies overseas. In 23 years of service and a life on the move, he has seen 49 of the 50 states and more than 30 countries, shared tea with strangers, done business in Asia, and more times than he can count, watched the stranger across the table become a friend.

My wife, Mikki, and I have been traveling together for 21 years. We got married at a destination wedding in Mexico. Our last trip as a couple was Croatia, and I can still picture her across the table at dinner in Dubrovnik. Every trip, we come home closer. It’s how we reconnect, decompress and, honestly, warm up from New York winters.
I come from a big, extended family, and for years we kept saying we should get together more. Travel is how we finally did it: my niece singing her heart out at karaoke, my daughter beaming in a kayak, my sister buying the most random things you’ve ever seen.
All those miles taught me something else. Every day we’re shown what divides us. Out in the world, you find out how much more we share. When the woman we hire in the Dominican Republic cooks for us in our rental, we’re eating the same meal her family eats on holidays. When you take the time to really talk with your driver, you meet someone working hard for their family, same as you.

Most bookings: no fee. For hotel, resort, all-inclusive and cruise bookings, we're paid by the travel suppliers, and you'll typically pay the same rates you'd find booking direct, often with added perks.
Custom trips and groups: a planning fee. These take a lot of hands-on work, so planning fees apply.
Always upfront. Any fee is explained and agreed in writing before work begins. No surprises, ever.
